Moving to Deephaven

The Deephaven community welcomes you and your family to this small city with only about 4,000 residents in the area. Because Deephaven is located right on the shore, perfect for those who enjoy outdoor water sports. The city is just minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul by Interstate 494.

Deephaven is part of the Minnetonka Public Schools #276. There are six elementary schools including Clear Springs Elementary for grades K-5th, two middle schools including Middle School East for grades 6th through 8th and one high school called Minnetonka High School for grades 9th through 12th. There is also a pre-school one community education center. The school district serves about 8,900 students from pre-K to 12th grade. Deephaven offers residents many exciting community events to participate in. When holidays approach, you can participate in parties with the Historical society or volunteer your time for one of the many events. Moving to a new city can be exciting and a bit frustrating if you don't know what you are doing. Thankfully, the city of Deephaven has made things easy for you. Any type of license you may need, you can find all in one place. If you plan to build commercially or residentially, simply contact the city planner at (952) 474-4755. If you have dogs, a license is required. The license is good for one year and is $10.00. You must provide a veterinarian issued copy of current rabies vaccination and fees are only payable by check or cash. Deephaven wants its seniors to know it cares. There are special services offered for seniors including legal advice to those who need it, free of charge. If you qualify, you could possibly receive a grant helping you pay for your energy needs.
